How We Got Here

How we got here, a story of new beginnings. Plum Berry Farm started with a search for a new home site with two major requirements; one, a west facing water view (check) and two, with land we could garden (check). What we didn't know is that we'd end up buying a small orchard & farm on the waterfront on Orcas Island, on land previously tended by a Master Gardener who spent over 50 years cultivating the orchards, gardens, and flower beds we now call home. After Emily's passing, the site became available and after a few years of mostly lying fallow, we moved full-time to Orcas Island in early 2020.
